We are proud to have reached our fundraising goal of $275,000 to open the new mobile clinic, however we aren’t finished yet. Your continued support has been the reason we are making this dream a reality.
Thank you for your continued support.
By joining together as a community, we can reduce the number of unwanted, homeless pets.
Fact:
A bit of history…
Encore Pets’ has been committed to offering low-cost spay/neuter clinics for six years
Encore Pets / POP-NC Spay/Neuter Clinics
2006 – 2012
Our primary objective in offering spay/neuter clinics has been to reduce the number of kittens and puppies that end up homeless or in our local shelters. We’ve held sixteen low-cost spay/neuter clinics at the Duke Marine Lab, in collaboration with the Pet Overpopulation Patrol–NC out of Chapel Hill. Through these clinics, we assisted in the spay/neuter of 1,408 cats and dogs. Encore Pets covers gas for the POP-NC mobile unit and lodging for the veterinary staff. The huge demand from the public for these clinics demonstrates the pressing need for these services in our area. Encore Pets is the only non-profit animal welfare organization offering low-cost spay/neuter services to our community.
This map shows the locations of pet owners who brought their companion animals to the 2007 – 2009 low cost spay/neuter clinics held in Beaufort.
